Unpair Koodos before deleting the app. This cleanly removes its Screen Time controls, blocking rules, background reporting, and local VPN configuration.

Have the parent PIN ready

You need the 4-digit parent PIN to open the protected device settings. If you have forgotten it, reset the parent PIN in the Parent App while the iPhone or iPad is online, then allow a moment for the new PIN to sync.

Step 1 — Open the parent settings

On the child's iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Koodos.
  2. Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
  3. Enter the parent PIN.

Do not share the PIN with your child.

Step 2 — Unpair the device

Scroll to the Device section and tap Unpair Device. Confirm Unpair, then keep Koodos open until the cleanup finishes.

This releases Apple's Screen Time authorization, clears Koodos blocking, and removes the Koodos VPN configuration.

Step 3 — Delete Koodos

Return to the Home Screen, touch and hold the Koodos icon, then tap Remove App → Delete App.

If iOS still says the app cannot be removed, reopen Koodos Settings with the parent PIN and turn on Allow App Deletion. Then try deleting it again.

After uninstalling

Refresh the Parent App and confirm the old device is no longer listed. The child's profile and history remain available for their other devices.
