Use the parent-approved removal steps so the device is not left paired or showing a protection warning.
Before uninstalling
Have your 4-digit parent PIN ready. Koodos asks for it before opening protected settings or removing a paired device. If you have forgotten it, reset your parent PIN while the child device is online and give it a moment to sync.
If you are replacing the device, first confirm the replacement is paired and online.
Unpair from the child device first
- Open Koodos on the child device.
- Open Settings using the gear icon.
- Enter the parent PIN.
- Tap Unpair Device and confirm.
- Wait until Koodos finishes cleaning up. Do not close the app while it says Unpairing….
Unpairing turns off Koodos restrictions and releases the protection that prevents app deletion. It also removes the Koodos VPN from a mobile device.
Delete the app
- Windows: follow Uninstall Koodos from Windows.
- iPhone or iPad: follow Uninstall Koodos from an iPhone or iPad.
- Android: follow Uninstall Koodos from Android.
After removal
Refresh the Parent App and confirm the old device is no longer listed. Removing a device does not delete the child profile or the family's other devices.
If removal is blocked, do not delete system files or reset the device. Reopen Koodos, confirm the device is unpaired, and try again. Too many incorrect PIN attempts can temporarily lock PIN entry; wait for the time shown before retrying.
