Koodos can apply different app and website rules during Free Time, Homework Time, Bedtime, and Locked mode.
Apps
Choose the apps or app categories that should be unavailable in each mode. A homework rule might block games and social media while leaving school apps available. A bedtime rule can be stricter.
The selection screen differs by device. On iPhone and iPad, Koodos uses Apple's Screen Time picker. Android and Windows use their own installed-app controls.
Websites
Website rules are enforced on the child's device. On iPhone, iPad, and Android, Koodos uses a local VPN to apply filtering. On Windows, the Koodos background services apply the rules.
Changes need an internet connection to reach the device. Once received, the most recent rules continue to work during a temporary connection loss.
If something is not blocked
Check that the device is online, protection is on, and the app or website belongs to the current mode's blocked list. Allow a short moment after changing a rule. If another VPN or private DNS service is active, see Using Koodos with another VPN, Private DNS, or Secure DNS.
