Koodos runs in your web browser, but you can add it to your phone's home screen so it opens full-screen, just like an app — one tap, no address bar, no hunting for the right tab. It takes about 15 seconds and doesn't download anything from an app store.
On iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open parents.koodos.app in Safari. It must be Safari — the option doesn't appear in Chrome or in an in-app browser.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. Koodos now has its own icon on your home screen.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open parents.koodos.app in Chrome.
- Tap the menu — the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
- Tap Install app. (Chrome may say Add to Home screen instead — either one works.)
- Confirm Install. Koodos appears in your app drawer and on your home screen.
On a computer
Adding to the home screen is a phone feature. For the best experience, open parents.koodos.app on your phone — Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android — and follow the steps above. You can still use Koodos in a desktop browser as usual.
Frequently asked
Is this a real app from the App Store or Play Store? There's no download or store account needed. It's a shortcut that opens the Koodos parent app full-screen, so it looks and behaves like an app.
Will it use much space or data? No — it's a lightweight shortcut, not a large app install.
How do I remove it? Touch and hold the Koodos icon on your home screen and choose Remove (iPhone) or Uninstall / Remove (Android). This only removes the shortcut — your account and data are untouched.
I don't see "Add to Home Screen" or "Install app." Make sure you're using Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android — the option isn't available in other browsers, or when a link is opened inside another app (an in-app browser). Open parents.koodos.app directly in Safari or Chrome and try again.
